Welcome to the Psik System ("the System") managed by Psik Books and Technology Ltd. ("the Company"). The Privacy Policy presented below, as updated from time to time ("the Privacy Policy"), outlines and regulates the conduct of the Company in all matters related to the privacy of the System users and to the information provided by them or gathered by the Company during their use of the System. The Company is obligated to protect the privacy of the System users as required by law.
Anything written in the masculine form in this Privacy Policy is intended for women, for men and for a group of people. The Privacy Policy is an integral part of the System's Terms of Use ("Terms of Use"), and it governs any use made of the System.
Information You Provide to the Company
During your use of the System, and specifically during the process of registration to the System, you will be asked to provide your personal information. This information may include your name, occupation, preferred pronoun to be used in the System, contact details (e.g., email, phone number and address), payment and transaction details, and information concerning your various preferences. In addition, you may also provide or publish more of your information during your use of the System.
It will be stressed that you are under no legal obligation to provide the information, and the provision of the information is done voluntarily and based on your consent.
You declare that you acknowledge and agree that the information provided by you may be stored in the Company's databases, and that the Company may collect information concerning your activities in the System. The Company's databases are hosted on AWS cloud services.
By transferring information to the Company, including personal or sensitive information, you agree to any use made of such information by the Company, subject to any law, for the purpose of providing the Company's services and operating the System, improving and securing these system and services, conducting further research and analysis, and delivering marketing or advertising materials (including also by direct mail).
The Company will not transfer any information which may be used to identify you to any third party, other than in the following cases: (a) with your consent; (b) the transfer of information is required by law; (c) the transfer is done in response to a court order or a demand issued by any competent authority; (d) the Company believes the transfer is required in connection with a violation of any provision or term set forth in the Terms of Use; (e) the Company believes the transfer is necessary to protect its interests or public interests or to protect your safety; (f) the transfer is required to protect the Company's rights in and against any dispute, allegation, claim, demand or legal proceeding, should any occur; (g) as part of the regular use of the system; (h) as explicitly permitted in this Privacy Policy; (i) should you decide to use the services of third parties, as specified in the Terms of Use; (j) following any reorganization or change in the Company's legal structure, or following any merger in the Company's operation, when a copy of the user information must be transferred, provided the terms of this Policy continue to apply to any use of said information; or (k) the transfer is performed within the client account, to other users in the same account.
The Company may save your information as long as you have not requested that the client account be closed in the System, and to the extent the information is required for the uses listed above, or to protect the legitimate interests of the Company.
You may contact the Company in writing at any time, at psik@psik.io, and ask to view your information held by it. Requests to view information will be handled by the Company within a reasonable time, considering its ability to verify the identity of the applicant, locate the requested information and guarantee the protection of the privacy and rights of the parties whose information is stored together with the requested information. Furthermore, you may log in to your client account in the system to view and correct certain items of your information (such as information you uploaded to the user account in the System).
The Manner of Use and Disclosure of Anonymized Information
From time to time, the System may use non-personal identifying information, which the system collects or creates based on personal information, to improve the system design and content and to allow the system to offer a more customized user experience. Furthermore, the Company may use said information to diagnose or reach conclusions concerning the use of the System, and to offer users the features, services or products which may interest them. We may share anonymized information with third parties, including for commercial use.
Direct Mail
By registering to the System, you acknowledge and agree that the Company may use the information you provide to send you marketing information, advertising materials and offers for the purchase of products or services, by fax, automatic dialers, electronic messages, text messages or any other form of communication. By agreeing to the Terms of Use you agree to receive advertising materials as set forth in Section 30A of the Communication Law (Telecommunication and Broadcasting), 5742-1982, and consent to such in accordance with the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981. In any case you decide you are no longer interested in receiving such messages, you must inform the Company of such in writing at [psik@psik.io]. It is hereby clarified that should you opt-out of receiving marketing material, advertisements or direct mail from the Company, your access to certain sections of the System may be blocked, and/or you may be prevented from making future use of the Company's services, in their entirety or in part, at the sole discretion of the Company.
Without derogating from the above, the Company may contact you at any time, using the contact information you provided it, and even if you did not consent to the receipt of advertising materials, to provide you with service or maintenance notices, such as notices and updates concerning the service you are using, payment notices, password replacement, system notices, updates to the Terms of Use or Privacy Policy and so on.
Browsing Data
The Company monitors the use of the System by employing standard tools, such as Cookies, Google Analytics and web beacons, to maintain the regular and proper operation of the System, including the collection of statistical data concerning the use of the System, data verification, System customization and information security. These tools collect various types of information, such as the pages visited by a certain user, the time they stayed in the System, directing webpages, personal system display preferences and more. If you are not interested in receiving Cookies, you may block them by changing your browser settings. However, please be aware that disabling Cookies could prevent you from using some of the system's services and features.
Information Security
The Company invests great efforts in securing the System and the personal information of its users. At the same time, the Company offers no guarantee that the System, its computers and its server will be completely immune to any unauthorized access or breach of the information stores in them, including the user details.
A Note Concerning Minors
Only individuals at least 18 years of age may use the System. If you learn that the System is used by any individual who has yet to turn 18 years old, please promptly inform us of such at: psik@psik.io.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may change from time to time, and its most recent version will be the one in effect. If any material changes, which have a significant effect on the privacy or rights of users, are made to this Privacy Policy, a notice will be posted on the System before the change enters into effect, and your continued use of the System after such notice has been posted will constitute your acceptance of such change. The most current and valid Privacy Policy is the version published on the system under the link "Privacy Policy".
